We finished up our newspaper and sent it in to the printers Monday, so hopefully we can get them in by Friday. I'm excited, this is going to be our fourth issue this year in school and I have to say that I couldn't ask for a better staff.

Today I originally thought that we were going to just plan out the next issue, but it just so happens that today is the deadline to submit the papers for the ILPC competition. You could imagine the horror on our faces when we realized how much work that had to be done so we could still send it in on time. Instead of using the editor's class to plan out the next issue, the three of us ran around in a panic to get things in order. ILPC has two competitions ending today, 1) The newspaper overall where we submit three of our best and 2) The individual stories or spreads, which we had 26 different categories and had to submit two stories each. Along with the online competition of our website so we had to choose approximately 104 stories/photos/spreads and cut them out and paste them then fill out forms all by today.

Well it wasn't too much work for me since this competition doesn't have an advertisement category. I mean, I write many stories each issue but business is my baby for our newspaper. I have to wait until the NSPA and CSPA, which is lurking around the corner.

Well my actual check list already requires me to start designing ads, which I love. I think I have to much fun with this, but I'm so pumped that this is the Prom issue because I know we are going to get a bunch of ads, especially in color.


OH. My super awesome best friend got me the computer game Amnesia: The Dark Descent two weeks ago which was supposed to be my Christmas gift made her level of win increase by infinity. I think I'm losing my mind playing this because it's a survival horror game and I am most certainly getting scared. I haven't played in two days because I made it to the dungeons in the castle but I hear a monster lurking around the corner and I am so not dying.
